We are seeking Substitute Childcare Teachers to join our team at New Horizon Academy in the Southwest metro area.
Substitutes in our Southwest metro area will be responsible for working at schools in the Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Shorewood, Edina, Bloomington, Shakopee, or Prior Lake areas.
Work area is flexible and based on where you are located. Subs are asked to travel within a 15 mile radius of their home.

We are conveniently located in the Highwood Hills neighborhood of St. Paul, off Lower Afton Road and McKnight Road South, near Battle Creek Park. Our school has been serving St. Paul, Woodbury, Maplewood, and surrounding area families since 1989. We have one infant room, one toddler room, two preschool rooms, and two school-age rooms for our before and after-school program. Our St. Paul daycare center is accredited by NAEYC, the gold standard in daycare accreditation. All New Horizon Academy childcare classrooms utilize a comprehensive early learning curriculum, with a focus on STEAM, reading, social-emotional development, and more. *Newly enrolled families or families returning after 9 months only. Not valid with any other offer. St. Paul Lower Afton location only. Tuition credit of up to $1,500 valid for full-time enrollment only. Part-time families and families enrolled 3 days or less will receive up to a $600 tuition credit. Credit will be applied incrementally in three equal amounts at 30, 60, and 90 days of continuous enrollment—up to $500 credits for full-time families and up to $200 credits for part-time families. Account must be paid in full before any credit will be applied. Based on space availability. Family must enroll and pay registration fee by 5/29/26.

I live in Saint Paul Park with my husband Eric, our three girls—Taylor, Avery, and Emersyn—and our fur baby, Trixie. We are a softball family, so we spend most weekends at the fields in the summer or in the dome in the winter.

From my first conversation on the phone with the director, I knew this daycare center was a great fit! The building is clean inside and out, and families are kindly greeted at the door. I love the updates shared throughout the day so I can be in tune with what’s going on with my baby girl. If you want a daycare that puts children first and values education, this is definitely the place for you!
We started going to New Hew Horizon Academy as our previous daycare was no longer a good fit for our kids. We chose the St. Paul location because of the awesome school director. We appreciate her open and honest communication, and friendliness every time we walk in the door. She takes the time to listen, and she loves all the children as if they were her own.
