We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Pre-K Teacher to join our Rosemount team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Wage Range: $20.55/Hour - $25.30/Hour (D.O.E)
All applicants MUST:
• Have a minimum of 16 qualifying semester credits or CDA certification to qualify as a Teacher under MN Rule 3.
• Be able to work full-time (about 40 hours/week).
• Have a passion for working with children!
*Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required.

New Horizon Academy Rosemount opened in January 2025 and has since been serving families in Rosemount, Apple Valley, Farmington, Coates, and surrounding areas with quality childcare and education. Located conveniently off 150th Street and County Road 3, learning programs are available for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, including infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten options. Awards and Accolades
I live in Rosemount and have two kids that have both grown up attending New Horizon Academy. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Winona State University, and I have spent my career working at New Horizon Academy first as a preschool teacher, then as an assistant director, and now as a director. In my free time I enjoy gardening, house projects, and spending time with friends and family!

I love that we build the foundation for each child’s journey forward into school!
What makes your school unique?
I love that our center is very neighborhood based. The children and families are able to walk and bike to school on nice days! They are also able to meet other families that live nearby and have the opportunity to build relationships that will continue into elementary school and beyond.

We made the switch to New Horizon Academy in Rosemount when we felt that our daughter’s other preschool was no longer a good fit for her. We couldn’t be more happy with our decision! The new facility is beautiful! From our first meeting with the director, we were sure that our experience was going to be amazing, as she was very knowledgeable in child development and the strategies that make a classroom successful. Our daughter loves New Horizon and we are so impressed with how much she is learning!
We recently moved our daughter from another daycare center to this new New Horizon Academy. From day one, our daughter has thrived in this new environment! She talks all night about all the fun things she did and the new friends she is making! My daughter loves the outdoor playgrounds, which have so much room for her to run and help burn off that excessive 3 year old energy. On colder and rainy days, they have the indoor playground where kids still get space and toys to run off that energy inside.
New Horizon Academy Rosemount is such a friendly daycare with great staffing! The directors are also really great and make sure you feel welcome and have everything you need. My son is in the infant room and loves it! I receive 4-8 photos a day, and they make sure to inform us what activities they are doing throughout the day. I definitely recommend the New Horizon Academy in Rosemount!
