Welcome to the Minneapolis – Downtown East New Horizon Academy! Our daycare and early learning center opened in August 2023 and has since been serving families both living and working downtown with quality childcare and education. Our school is conveniently located off 7th St and Portland Ave, on the ground level of the Moment Apartments and near the Thrivent campus in the Downtown East neighborhood of Minneapolis. Learning programs are available for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, including infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten options. Each classroom utilizes a comprehensive curriculum incorporating STEAM, reading, social-emotional learning, motor development, school readiness, and more. With national accreditation from NAEYC and NECPA, we ensure exceptional education and care for your infant, toddler, or preschooler. We invite you to come see for yourself! While I am originally from Stillwater, Minnesota, I enjoy being part of the Minneapolis community. I love boating on the St. Croix River with my partner, Bryan. Although we are now empty nesters, we like to stay busy by being active, attending live concerts, and taking our dog, Blue, on walks. I believe in making the best out of each day for myself and others, always looking for the silver linings.

I love this place! The teachers and staff are so welcoming and caring. As a first-time daycare parent, I couldn’t have made a better decision than choosing New Horizon Academy.
