We are seeking Substitute Childcare Teachers to join our team at New Horizon Academy in the Southwest metro area.
Substitutes in our Southwest metro area will be responsible for working at schools in the Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Shorewood, Edina, Bloomington, Shakopee, or Prior Lake areas.
Work area is flexible and based on where you are located. Subs are asked to travel within a 15 mile radius of their home.
All applicants MUST:

Welcome to the Maplewood - Oakdale New Horizon Academy! Our school is located on the border of Maplewood and Oakdale, Minnesota off Conway and Geneva Avenue, near 3M’s corporate headquarters. We’ve been serving children and families in Maplewood, Oakdale, Woodbury, and North St. Paul since 2006. *Newly enrolled families or families returning after 9 months only. Not valid with any other offer. Maplewood Oakdale location only. Tuition credit of up to $1,500 valid for full-time enrollment only. Part-time families and families enrolled 3 days or less will receive up to a $600 tuition credit. Credit will be applied incrementally in three equal amounts at 30, 60, and 90 days of continuous enrollment—up to $500 credits for full-time families and up to $200 credits for part-time families. Account must be paid in full before any credit will be applied. Based on space availability. Family must enroll and pay registration fee by 5/29/26.

I have been married for 30 years, with 2 children, 2 grandchildren, and one on the way. In my free time I love spending time with family and friends, going camping (well, glamping), and planning and going on tropical vacations with my husband.

I’ve worked in childcare since I was in high school and grew up surrounded by women in my family in the same field. It’s always been my dream to work with children and families and I’m so happy to work for such a great company. I am married with my first child on the way, and can’t wait for my baby to grow up with New Horizon Academy.

My son has attended this daycare program for six years and he has loved every moment of it. The teachers and management have all been amazing and make him feel so loved and special. He loves them all like they are part of our family!
Both of our girls have had a wonderful experience here, from infancy all the way through preschool! The center directors and staff have always been friendly and helpful.
One of the best parts about New Horizon Academy is that there is preschool AND childcare programs here, both with great curriculum. The next best part is the teachers! They are great at communicating with you and are so amazing with the kiddos. I give this place a 12/10 and urge any parent to check them out!
