We are seeking Substitute Childcare Teachers to join our team at New Horizon Academy in the Southwest metro area.
Substitutes in our Southwest metro area will be responsible for working at schools in the Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Shorewood, Edina, Bloomington, Shakopee, or Prior Lake areas.
Work area is flexible and based on where you are located. Subs are asked to travel within a 15 mile radius of their home.

The Maplewood, Minnesota New Horizon Academy is conveniently located off Highway 36 and White Bear Avenue, near North St. Paul. Our Maplewood daycare opened in 1985, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and holds a four-star rating from Minnesota Parent Aware. Our Maplewood childcare center has one infant room, two toddler rooms, two preschool rooms, and one school-age room. All of our childcare classrooms utilize an age-appropriate curriculum that incorporates reading, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and more. Part-time families and families enrolled 3 days or less will receive up to a $600 tuition credit. Credit will be applied incrementally in three equal amounts at 30, 60, and 90 days of continuous enrollment—up to $500 credits for full-time families and up to $200 credits for part-time families. I was born and raised in St. Paul with my mom, dad, two sisters, and one brother. I started working at New Horizon Academy when I was 18. I’m a single mom of two daughters, and I love being at home cooking and listening to music. I’m also a cosmetologist and having been cutting kids’ hair part-time for 16 years.

As a first-time mom, I was nervous to send my baby girl to daycare at first. However, the Maplewood New Horizon Academy has been nothing but absolutely amazing, reassuring, compassionate, and understanding!
