We are seeking Substitute Childcare Teachers to join our team at New Horizon Academy in the Southwest metro area.
Substitutes in our Southwest metro area will be responsible for working at schools in the Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Shorewood, Edina, Bloomington, Shakopee, or Prior Lake areas.
Work area is flexible and based on where you are located. Subs are asked to travel within a 15 mile radius of their home.

Welcome to our brand-new daycare and early learning center in Corcoran, Minnesota! New Horizon Academy Corcoran opened in April 2024 and has since been serving families in Corcoran, Medina, Loretto, Greenfield, Handover, Hamel, and other surrounding areas with quality childcare and education. Located conveniently off Brockton Lane North and Bass Lake Road, near Corcoran Lions Park, learning programs are available for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, including infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten options. Each classroom utilizes a comprehensive curriculum incorporating STEAM, reading, social-emotional learning, motor development, school readiness, and more. I live in Elk River with my fiancé, Dave, and son, Jack. We go up to our cabin on Mille Lacs Lake every weekend. We love to go boating, fishing, and hang out at the cabin. When we are not up north, I enjoy cooking and spending time with friends.

My name is Lexi, and I am the assistant director of our Corcoran location. I have the privilege of not only being a part of our Corcoran school family, but also being a parent whose child attends this school. Previously, I was an infant teacher at one of our surrounding schools for 5 years before going on to attain my degree in Early Childhood Education. This spring I had the opportunity to help open up our Corcoran location and truly have loved every minute of this new journey.

Our infant currently attends the New Horizon Academy Corcoran location, and I can wholeheartedly say that our family loves everything about this school. As you walk through the doors, you immediately feel welcomed. Each classroom looks pristine and is filled with developmentally appropriate materials. The teachers are amazing, and you can tell they genuinely care about all the children. They prioritize safety and meaningful interactions. I appreciate the timely communication throughout the day from both of my daughter’s teachers and the management team. We recently transferred from a larger preschool to New Horizon Academy. My 3-year-old is loving it already! I am so impressed with the curriculum and all the new things my daughter has learned in just a couple weeks. The teachers are caring and provide one-on-one support when needed. NHA Corcoran has a great team and facility!
We recently moved our daughter here from another local daycare, and have been blown away with the level of communication, patience, and quality of care at New Horizon Academy. The director and assistant director are always available, and it is clear they know what is going on within their facility each day, which is very comforting! The teachers are all extremely sweet and clearly love what they do! As a first time mom, they have exceeded my expectations with doing art, going on walks, reading books, and teaching sign language. I love how even with infants, they make a point to get them out of the room and into different environments. It is clear they enjoy interacting with the babies, and accommodate to each child’s needs. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for infant care!
