We are seeking Substitute Childcare Teachers to join our team at New Horizon Academy in the Southwest metro area.
Substitutes in our Southwest metro area will be responsible for working at schools in the Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Shorewood, Edina, Bloomington, Shakopee, or Prior Lake areas.
Work area is flexible and based on where you are located. Subs are asked to travel within a 15 mile radius of their home.

The Coon Rapids New Horizon Academy is conveniently located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota off Highway 10 and Hanson Boulevard. Our Coon Rapids daycare opened in 1989, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and holds a four-star rating from Minnesota Parent Aware. Our Coon Rapids childcare center has two infant daycare rooms, one toddler transition room, two toddler rooms, four preschool and pre-kindergarten rooms, and one school-age room. All of our childcare classrooms utilize an age-appropriate curriculum, which incorporates reading, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and more. Hi! I’m Natalie and I have been working in Early Childhood Education for almost 10 years! I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Special Education. I love working with children and seeing them learn and grow. Having children ask for a hug or learn something you have taught them is such a magical experience.

My name is Cori, and I have over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages. I have a passion for early childhood education, providing high-quality care and learning experiences for young children, and building authentic relationships with my students, their families, and my team. My husband, Troy, and I live in Becker with our two children. We also have a dog named Ellie, a cat named Mylee, and six backyard chickens. My hobbies include hiking, traveling, reading, and just about anything that allows me to express my creativity.

After being at New Horizon Academy over the past couples of years, I would not take my kids anywhere else. They put my mind as ease as they take such great care of my kids. They treat my boys with so much love and care and do such a great job educating them and exposing them to life and all the experiences. I especially love their summer program where they do a few more extracurricular activities with the kids. It’s comforting to know that this school holds high standards and expectations.
I have a toddler who goes to this daycare and the staff there are amazing! My son has learned so much in the last year and a half and he absolutely loves being outside. I always recommend the New Horizon Academy in Coon Rapids to my friends and family! 10/10 best daycare!
This daycare center is amazing! The teachers are wonderful and the building is beautiful! The children go on amazing field trips and the staff bring fun things to the center, such as water days, bounce castles, magicians, and more. The staff are so kind and caring with all of the children.
I just want to say this was the first daycare I ever dropped my daughter off and I’m a first time mom. I toured other ones and just had the best feeling about this one. The director is super welcoming and very kind. You can tell she really genuinely cares about the kids. The assistant director is also super sweet. This daycare has AMAZING teachers. They do a lot of fun activities for your little ones. NHA Coon Rapids is all around a really good place.
