BIO

I am a mom to two school-aged girls who both attended New Horizon Academy from infancy to their pre-kindergarten graduation. In my free time, I love to try new restaurants and live music venues. Spending time in nature is super important to me and I feel lucky to live in such a beautiful state.

BIO

I discovered the importance of early childhood education when I became a mother. If I had known then what I know now, I would have invested in my son’s education and social-emotional experiences before he started kindergarten. I am passionate about helping families be prepared for what lies ahead in their child’s education, and fostering a sense of inclusion. I will continue this work for every family we serve at New Horizon Academy and beyond.

What do you like about early childhood?

We create a standard for quality care and education, enabling families to advocate for their children throughout their lives. We respect young minds and meet children where they are. We create a space for children to know that they are respected and have a voice in a world. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with compassion, no matter where we are in life.

What makes your school unique?

We have leaders who are passionate for early childhood education, which means we will mentor and coach teachers to provide the best care possible. We will also be intentional with our interactions with children and families to reassure them that they are doing what is best for their child.

I highly recommend the New Horizon Academy in Highland Park! My son attended for five years and in each of those years, we watched him learn, play, laugh, and build lifelong friendships. The center director and teachers felt like an extension of our family. I have a unique appreciation for the educational skills my son acquired at New Horizon Academy, as I am a kindergarten teacher myself. When my son graduated High Five, he had incredible literacy skills that allowed him to enter kindergarten ready and willing to read. We love the St. Paul Highland Park NHA!
