One of four locations in Plymouth, Minnesota, the Plymouth – Highway 55 New Horizon Academy is conveniently located on the edge of Plymouth and Golden Valley, off Highway 55 and 169. Our daycare opened in 1992, is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and holds a four-star rating from Minnesota Parent Aware. Our Plymouth childcare center has two infant daycare rooms, two toddler daycare rooms, three preschool and pre-kindergarten rooms, and one school-age room. All of our childcare classrooms utilize an age-appropriate curriculum, which incorporates reading, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and more. This New Horizon Academy was such a saving grace for us. When we moved to Plymouth unexpectedly, we had two children in daycare and had to scramble to find a new daycare center for them. New Horizon Academy was able to get our toddlers enrolled quickly and we have had nothing but good experiences ever since. Our Plymouth center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy Plymouth (Highway 55), we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack.
