We have two children that have been enrolled at the Uptown Minneapolis New Horizon Academy since they were infants. At every stage/classroom we have been thoroughly impressed with the teachers, curriculum, and overall care provided. The teachers and leadership all have a deep connection with our children and their development. Their progression to different classrooms is not based on generic benchmarks such as age or walking -the New Horizon team communicates openly about the maturity and development of the child and why they think they should or should not move to new classrooms. New Horizon Academy Uptown has everything you expect in a day care: safe, clean, transparent, kind, etc. but they also do the little things that makes this place so much more.

Our Minneapolis center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy Minneapolis (Uptown), we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.
