I have two grown daughters and five grandchildren who live here in Idaho. In the five years that I have been at New Horizon Academy, I have been a teacher, mentor teacher, an EMCT (Early Childhood Manager in Training), an assistant director, and now a director. Along with my three kids, I have been caring for children for more than 20 years. I grew up in small town Kansas before moving to Idaho in 1995. Since moving here, I love going on new adventures and camping in the quiet mountains.

We've had our four-year-old at New Horizon Academy for over a year and we cannot say enough good things about this program! All of the teachers are warm, professional, and accommodating. In addition to the great staff, the facility is clean, bright, and full of learning toys and materials. The outdoor area is spectacular. Our Boise daycare center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy Boise (LaSalle Street), we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack. All meals are included in the cost of tuition.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.
