New Horizon Academy Eden Prairie is located conveniently off Highway 62, Shady Oak Road, and Interstate 494, near Bryant Lake Regional Park in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. We have been serving Eden Prairie families with quality childcare and early education services since 1989. Our school has two infant classrooms, a toddler room, and three preschool classrooms. At our Eden Prairie childcare, we use a comprehensive curriculum that includes character development, STEAM, literacy, motor skills, and more, all with an emphasis on building confident and excited learners. I have my B.S. in Elementary Education from SCSU. I live in Linden Hills and have been the only director at our school since it opened. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, yoga, and reading.

I have been with New Horizon Academy Eden Prairie Shady Oak since January 2010 as a teachers aid and am now the assistant director! I have 4 children of my own who have attended New Horizon Academy. When I am not at work, I enjoy reading and crafting. Although I don’t get out often, I also find solace in nature!

Having my kids attend New Horizon Academy, off of Shady Oak Road in Eden Prairie, has been one of the best decisions I have made as a parent. The atmosphere is welcoming and feels like home. The teachers are phenomenal and know what they are doing. My three oldest have graduated from New Horizon Academy and are excelling in their schooling now (my eldest just got straight A’s in advanced classes!) and I attribute a large amount of this to New Horizon and how they prepared my children for school. My youngest currently attends this location and everyday she comes home happy and smiling. I also love the pictures and check ins I get with the staff everyday! Thank you, NHA, for being such a prominent and influential part in my family’s lives!
The New Horizon Academy – Eden Prairie location is a hidden gem. Great staff, great neighborhood, great app, and we as parents feel cared for knowing our 3-month-old son is in the best hands. The Eden Prairie teachers have so much experience and our son loves being there! You can just feel it when you’re in the right place. This school is 100% worth the money.
We love the experience we have had with New Horizon Academy Shady Oak. The teachers are fantastic. We get bummed when our daughter ages up to a new room because we get attached to the teachers, but are always impressed with how smooth they make the transition and how the teachers in the other age groups are just as excellent! We enjoy all the creative and engaging activities they plan out with the kids even at the infant stage. The updates and pictures we get throughout the day make us smile. The teachers go above and beyond to make sure the kids and families are taken care of.
We are so happy with the care and education our daughter receives at New Horizon Academy. All the teachers know her, she comes home telling me stories about all the things she’s learned each day, and her vocabulary and curiosity are off the charts! She’s made lots of friends and claps when we arrive at school each morning because she is so excited.
