I’ve spent 26+ years in early childhood education, the last 10 of those in management and leadership. Compliance and licensing regulation on a national scale is the core of my career: I held a position where I was sent into early childhood centers across the country specifically to fix, manage, and strengthen their compliance, working within childcare regulatory frameworks across multiple states. I know how to translate that knowledge into strong, defensible, everyday practice for the centers I lead. Alongside that regulatory foundation, my teaching and program background spans Reggio Emilia-inspired and Montessori philosophies, which gives me a broad lens on how children learn and how a program can be both fully compliant and genuinely child-centered.

I’m originally from New York. My life took me to several different states over the years, moves connected to military assignments, and that gave me the chance to work in early childhood programs across very different communities before I settled in Denver, where my immediate family lives.

Monday is my favorite day of the week! I love finding quirky coffee shops, gardening, and going on cruises whenever I get the chance.

What do you like about early childhood?

What draws me to this field is how intentional you have to be. The elementary years matter, but they don’t shape early brain development and cognitive structure the way these first years do. What happens in early childhood builds the temperament a child carries forward, and that temperament shapes how they respond to the world for the rest of their life. Being deliberate in this work isn’t optional. It’s the whole point.

What makes your school unique?

What makes our school unique is the family that we are building together. When your child is with us, we’re invested in being a real part of their development, and we take that responsibility seriously. Your trust and belief in our school and our mission mean everything to us. We hold ourselves to a standard of self-esteem, potential and continuous improvement, because our goal is to be among the best child development on this planet.

What is your favorite children’s book?

Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin. Part of it is that I’m a musical person at heart. Part of it is the message. Whenever things don’t go as planned, I think of Pete: “Did he cry? Goodness, no!”. He just kept walking along and singing his song, and that’s the mindset I try to bring to this work every day.

I am a Colorado native and I love our beautiful state. I have been married to my amazing husband since 2008. We have been blessed with two amazing children. I have been the childcare industry for over 15 years and have loved every minute of it. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends. We love to do family game nights, go bowling, and playing mini golf.

What do you like about early childhood?

What I enjoy most about early childhood education is having the opportunity to watch children grow, develop, and discover new things. It is incredibly rewarding to see their excitement and confidence grow when they learn something new or accomplish a milestone. Being able to support and encourage that learning process is one of the most fulfilling aspects of working with young children.

What makes your school unique?

At our school we foster a welcoming, family-oriented community where every child is valued and supported. We are committed to building self-confidence, promoting academic excellence, and developing the leaders of tomorrow. Through a nurturing, engaging, and above all, safe learning environment. We empower each child to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
