We are seeking Substitute Childcare Teachers to join our team at New Horizon Academy in the Southwest metro area.
Substitutes in our Southwest metro area will be responsible for working at schools in the Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Shorewood, Edina, Bloomington, Shakopee, or Prior Lake areas.
Work area is flexible and based on where you are located. Subs are asked to travel within a 15 mile radius of their home.

Thank you for considering the Boise – Emerald Street New Horizon Academy! We are conveniently located off West Emerald Street in Boise, Idaho, on The Salvation Army Boise Corps campus. We are proud to partner with The Salvation Army to provide parenting teens in their School Program with access to quality childcare and education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. We've been serving Boise area families since 2019, providing our services to both the public and program participants. Our Boise daycare center is accredited by NAEYC and offers early learning programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-kindergarteners. All New Horizon Academy childcare classrooms utilize a comprehensive early learning curriculum, with a focus on STEAM, reading, social-emotional development, and more. In addition to our welcoming classrooms, our school also features an outdoor classroom that allows children to engage with nature and further enrich their learning experiences. Hello! My name is Maddie, and I am a mom of three little girls. I grew up in Minnesota and have been in Idaho for over nine years. I love kids and have been working with them for over 10 years. I love being a part of their lives and helping them grow and develop. Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family and traveling when we are able to. I love seeing the world through my kids’ eyes.

I have worked in childcare for 10+ years, and I absolutely love it! I have done everything from working with all ages, from infants all the way up to school age. I have been a teacher, worked in the kitchen, and have been in management. I moved to Boise in 2023, married the love of my life, and have made Boise my home and New Horizon Academy my career. I couldn’t be happier!
