I live in Woodbury with my two children, Jermaine and J’anna, my sister, and our cat, Shadow. When we are not busy with soccer and theater, we enjoy road trips and trying new and unique restaurants.

Our Minneapolis early childhood center is open Monday-Friday every day with the exception of nine holidays:
*On Christmas Eve, New Horizon Academy closes at 3:00 p.m.
*If one of these holidays falls on a weekend, it will be observed on either Friday or Monday.
*Our school will remain open during inclement weather to ensure children still have access to quality childcare.

Yes! At New Horizon Academy Minneapolis (Uptown), we have an on-site cook trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children. Our school provides nutritious and nourishing meals every day including breakfast, lunch, and snack.
If your child has a special nutritional need, a food allergy, or requires adaptation to our menu, please alert our school director, and we will partner with your family to create a suitable meal plan.

I cannot express enough how grateful my family is to have found this particular daycare center. It has been our go-to place for over 5 years now, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. We are so thankful for New Horizon Academy Uptown. Each staff member has been excellent to work with. Our son, who is in the infant classroom, spent time in the NICU this spring, and bringing him to daycare has been something that weighed heavily on our minds. We have been so pleased to know that he is safe, engaged, and well cared for throughout the day, while we stay connected as parents through regular updates.
We are deeply grateful for the love and support our son has received at New Horizon Academy Uptown. All of his teachers in the infant program have been wonderful. We have two children that have been enrolled at New Horizon Academy Uptown since they were infants. At every stage/classroom, we have been thoroughly impressed with the teachers, curriculum, and overall care provided. The teachers and leadership all have a deep connection with our children and their development.
