Job Description

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with month-end accounting related duties as well as preparing internal reports for senior management. This position will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting in Month End Close Process
  • Maintaining detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Accounting for Fixed Assets
  • Posting journal entries and calculating accruals
  • Testing of internal controls
  • Managing multiple databases
  • Reviewing credit card activity
  • Assisting in preparation of financial statements
  • Tracking center expense budgets
  • Preparing documentation for external auditors
  • Creating Internal Invoices
  • Filing sales tax returns
  • Preparing weekly, and bi-weekly internal reports

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in accounting or related field (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
